Arbor people are amazing! It starts with you, of course – our residents and neighbors. And, our staff is experienced, compassionate, and professional. Our nurses, activity directors, housekeepers, professional chefs, therapists, office managers, maintenance folks – all are here to serve you. But our most cherished employees are our caregivers – you can count on these fine people to take care of your every need.

Our Executive Directors are trained assisted living professionals. But we go beyond what is mandated by the State – our management and nursing personnel are exposed to rigorous training and continuing education.

Your transition to The Arbor promises to be a smooth one. Our staff has worked with numerous families to assist during this important transition. We work closely with every new resident to ensure their move goes as smoothly as possible, from settling into their new home, to meeting new friends at meal time, and everything in between.

Our Amazing Staff

Mary Jo

Executive Director
Mary Jo has been working in senior care for over 15 years, spending 11 of them as part of the team at The Arbor. She appreciates every aspect of her job – to the point where it does not feel like she is at work. Her regular field trips with residents into town, ensure that the residents are able to make new memories. Mary Jo’s goal is to give her residents something daily to get excited about. Mary Jo has been married for 32 fulfilling years; her family includes one son, two daughters, and one precious granddaughter. In her spare time she enjoys reading, watching the Redskins, spending time with her family, and volunteering at her church. The Arbor is proud to have her on staff.

Brenda

Food Supervisor
Brenda has worked at The Arbor for over 18 years, making her the longest-serving staff member. In 2002, she was promoted from cook to food supervisor, where she especially loves coordinating the special events. Her favorite events are holiday meals, where everyone gathers as a family. She truly enjoys preparing and cooking meals for the residents that she considers her family. When she isn’t at work, Brenda spends time with her beloved children and grandchildren, fishing, or doing yard work.

Karen

Community Relations Director
Karen, a native of the East Texas area, has 20 years of Health Care and Business Administration experience. Previously, Karen served as the Activities Director, but now has made The Arbor her “home away from home,” as the Community Relations Director. On top of making a daily difference at The Arbor with our residents, she is actively involved and serves on many organization committees in her community and school district.

Married 30 years to her high school sweetheart, Karen has two daughters and two granddaughters. She is blessed with a wonderful family, and appreciates spending time and making special memories with her loved ones. In her spare time she loves capturing family moments, landscape and nature with photography.
